Web Accessibility

We want everyone who visits our website to be able to engage with the information and comfortably find what they are looking for. As a private school that serves students with specific learning disabilities, we have made a commitment to best-practice recommendations for websites that attract users who have dyslexia and other learning differences or processing disorders.

How We Do It

To help us make Oakwood's website accessible for everyone, we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone. Our technology team and website provider are working to achieve Level AA accessibility. To support visitors with dyslexia or language-based learning disabilities, we referenced resources from the International Dyslexia Association's Style Guide and website.

Let Us Know

This is a brand new website and while we worked hard to navigate every potential issue, we fully accept that we may have missed a few. Please contact our Director of Communications & Strategic Initiatives if you have questions.
