Ways to Contribute to Oakwood School
There are many ways to give to Oakwood School. Each contribution is tax deductible and helps Oakwood continue its mission to make a difference in the lives of bright children with learning differences.
- With the GiveDirect credit card processing service, no fees are taken on Visa or Mastercard donations.
- We receive 100% of your gift.
A fee of 2.85% is deducted from American Express donations. GiveDirect is a nonprofit service that processes our credit card transactions, their name will appear on your card statement—not Oakwood School. Using a 3rd party keeps our costs low, allowing your generous gift to be spent on programs.
donate while you shop
Support Oakwood while you shop on Amazon. Shop by opening the Amazon Smile link in a new browser, or by changing the settings on your device's Amazon app. Go to Settings, and click Amazon Smile to select Oakwood School as the recipient of your shopping.
matching gifts
Many companies match the charitable contributions of their employees, and it's usually a very simple process. First, ask your employer if they offer this benefit. There will be a very brief form for you to complete and submit along with your gift, and then we take care of the rest. combined federal campaign
If you are a federal employee or a member of the U.S. military, you can contribute to Oakwood School through the Combined Federal Campaign.

estate planning
Oakwood School has started an endowment which allows for contributions from estate planning and other such gifting. Please contact our Development Director to learn more about this process.

To donate stocks or bonds to Oakwood School, please contact Oakwood’s Chief Financial Officer at jgeerdes@oakwoodschool.com or have your brokerage firm call to obtain transfer instructions.
Your tax deduction is the value of the stock on the date of its transfer to the school’s account.
