The Campaign for Oakwood's Future
Over 40 years ago Oakwood moved into our home here on Braddock Road. Back then, our building was relatively new, just 10 years old, and we were thrilled with the newness of the campus and all of the space we had to grow into. Several years ago we realized that our physical school was straining from the demands of an expanded program and a growing student population. Our students needed a real gym, up-to-date classrooms, more breakout space for small group instruction, and space to grow our science, technology, art, and music programs.
In the Fall of 2020, we started a massive renovation and expansion of our current building and as of January 2023, we are settled into our new spaces. Bob McIntyre's vision is finally a reality and he would be thrilled to know that Oakwood staff and students are safely housed in new facilities.
As we look toward March 25th and the Oakwood Gala to celebrate a successful capital campaign, please consider a gift to help us reach our $4.5 million goal.
