Held on Oakwood’s campus in Annandale, Virginia, this Northern Virginia summer camp provides small-group instruction in reading, writing, and language skills. All classes are led by experienced Oakwood teachers trained in Orton-Gillingham methodologies and skilled in supporting students who learn differently.

Families from Fairfax County, Arlington, Alexandria, and Falls Church choose Summer at Oakwood for its structured, multisensory approach and nurturing environment.

Summer 2026 Dates

Families may enroll in a single session or for the full summer program. Camp hours are 8:30 - 11:30 am daily.

Session 1: Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 17
Session 2: Monday, July 20 - Friday, July 31

Each session costs $1,530.00. Registration for the full program is discounted at $2,754.00. A non-refundable deposit of $275.00 is due upon acceptance into the program.

As of April 6, 2026, Summer at Oakwood is currently full for all grades. Applications or registration forms submitted after this date will be reviewed, and if appropriate, placed on a waitlist.

Each camp day runs from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. We offer Morning Care for an additional cost.

Due to the highly specialized nature of the Summer at Oakwood academic program, space is limited. Each application form will be reviewed to ensure the appropriate educational group is available.

*We have partnered with two on-site camps run by local organizations to offer afternoon options to enrolled Summer at Oakwood campers whose families need full-day programming. Information will be shared upon confirmation of acceptance.
