Biography

Joined Oakwood in 2003.

Mrs. Cyrwus brings over 20 years of experience in education, including classroom teaching, learning specialist support, and curriculum development. As the Director of Outreach & Literacy, she supports both families and professionals across Northern Virginia, providing direct services to students and their families, as well as training, workshops, and presentations for schools and organizations.

As the Director of Summer at Oakwood, she oversees the school's summer programs, managing everything from staffing and scheduling to academic and enrichment offerings for students.

Mrs. Cyrwus is certified in Structured Literacy through IDA and holds a BA in Deaf Studies, an M.Ed. in Special Education: Learning Disabilities, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership, and a Certificate in Dyslexia Advocacy.
