Characteristics of ADD/ADHD Students in the Classroom

Student Profile: Students with ADD/ADHD can be inattentive, hyperactive, and impulsive. But not all of these need to be present for a child to be diagnosed with ADHD.

How Oakwood School Can Help Students with ADD/ADHD

Oakwood’s small class size allows teachers to provide each child with more individualized attention. Experienced teachers understand that students with difficulty focusing benefit from movement, engagement in learning, and multisensory teaching. Our staff directly introduces and supports students in the use of strategies designed to increase their focus and attention.
