Special Announcement: Transition in Admissions

After nearly three decades of extraordinary service, Muriel Jedlicka, Oakwood School’s beloved Admissions Director, will retire in June 2025 at the end of the current school year.

As the Admissions Director, Muriel has been a guiding light for countless families, offering reassurance, compassion, and hope. Muriel’s belief in the power of Oakwood’s mission and her unwavering commitment to students with language-based learning differences have helped shape the very heart of our school. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and daily acts of generosity have touched every corner of the community, making Oakwood not just a place to learn but a place to belong.

As we look ahead to this transition, we are thrilled to announce that Cherie Coppage will step into the role of Admissions Director. Cherie has worked closely with Muriel for the past seven years and brings deep experience, warmth, and a shared passion for supporting families through every step of the admissions process.

The heart of Oakwood has always been its people, and Muriel Jedlicka has been one of our most treasured community members. Her presence has been felt in every warm welcome, every thoughtful phone call, and every family she helped find their way to Oakwood. We are honored to celebrate her legacy and are deeply thankful for all she has given.
