Oakwood School Receives Generous Gift to Support Tuition Assistance
  • News
Samantha Fleming, Communications

Oakwood School is proud to announce a generous gift from The Burke & Herbert Bank Foundation, presented today in support of the Bob McIntyre Tuition Assistance Fund. This fund ensures that bright and capable students with language-based learning differences can access the specialized education they deserve.

The Bob McIntyre Tuition Assistance Fund helps make Oakwood education possible for families who might not otherwise be able to afford it. With small class sizes, individualized instruction, and a multisensory approach to teaching, Oakwood provides a supportive and structured environment where students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning challenges can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

One of the greatest gifts we can provide a child is the opportunity to learn. With each donation to the Bob McIntyre Tuition Assistance Fund, we can support our students as learners of today and empower them to be leaders of tomorrow.
Phallon Perry, Development Director

This donation from The Burke & Herbert Bank Foundation directly impacts students and families by reducing financial barriers to enrollment and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to develop essential skills, build confidence, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning.
