Dyslexia Simulation

Join us on Tuesday, October 22, at 7:00 p.m. for an interactive workshop. In it, you will experience the challenges children and adults with dyslexia face when reading and writing.

This event is best suited for adults. We have a limited number of spaces; please register to reserve your spot.

Biography

Joined Oakwood in 2003.

Mrs. Cyrwus has over 20 years of experience in education, including classroom teaching, learning specialist support, and curriculum development. As the Director of Outreach & Literacy, she offers dyslexia screenings, literacy assessments, IEP advocacy, and support for families in Northern Virginia. She also conducts professional development workshops and presentations for schools and organizations. Mrs. Cyrwus is certified in Structured Literacy through IDA, has a BA in Deaf Studies, an M.Ed. in Special Education: Learning Disabilities, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies: Educational Leadership, and a Certificate in Dyslexia Advocacy.
