Oakwood Summer Program Highlights

Academic Mornings

Students ignite their passion for learning through a variety of multisensory, project-based activities and learning experiences within the context of the program theme. Reading, math, writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are applied in the classroom with the instruction and guidance of highly qualified Oakwood teachers.

Recreational Afternoons

All students choose from a variety of exciting recreational activities such as team sports, art, drama, swimming, and cooking. In addition, the students experience a different field trip every week, building friendships and enhancing social skills while exploring the rich resources of the DC area. Middle School students also have an opportunity to develop leadership skills through mentoring and planning responsibilities.

Small Class Size

Our 1:6 Staff-Student ratio make the Oakwood Summer Program especially beneficial for students with learning differences.
