Oakwood was a proud sponsor of DDVA's first ever 5K Walk/Run for Dyslexia!
We are often asked why we support DDVA...our answer is simple: "Oakwood believes every child should have the right to learn and reading is the key!"
This video is an introduction to the research project that Dr. Guinevere Eden is conducting in concert with Georgetown Medical Center to study the brain. As this project focuses on students with learning issues in reading and math, Oakwood School makes a perfect backdrop and "how [our] students learn would provide an important aspect to the project." Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more information about the progress of the project.
The whole school gathered on Tuesday morning, September 22nd, 2015 for one of Oakwood School's longest standing traditions: the swearing in of our Student Council Association and Color Guard members.
