When Fairfax County Public Schools
(FCPS) are closed because of inclement weather conditions,
Oakwood WILL be closed.

Oakwood School will follow Fairfax County Public Schools announcement of delays. If Fairfax delays opening ONE hour, then Oakwood School will open one hour late at 9:30. If Fairfax delays opening for TWO hours, then Oakwood will open TWO hours late at 10:30.

If there is a delayed opening
on any Monday, Oakwood will remain in session until 3
p.m.
|
| D) |
When FCPS dismisses early due
to bad weather, Oakwood will also dismiss early. The transportation
vendor or the school office will attempt to reach you
by telephone to advise you of the dismissal plan. If you
suspect weather conditions might cause an early dismissal
and are not available at the phone numbers on record in
the office, please call the school for information. (Oakwood
School is air-conditioned; therefore, students will not
be dismissed early due to excessive heat.)

If Oakwood is required to close
due to anything other than road conditions resulting from
bad weather, an announcement will be made on the radio.
